Lower Saxony and Russia: yesterday, today, tomorrow

"Lower Saxony and Russia: yesterday, today, tomorrow" is a project carried out by Deutsche Management Akademie Niedersachsen, with support of the Lower Saxony state government, as part of the Germany Year in Russia 2020/21. Organized again after an eight-year break, the Germany Year is intended to provide new useful impulses for German-Russian relations in various areas of life.

  • The first online event on 16 March 2021 gives a general introduction to the federal state of Lower Saxony and provides an overview of the historic and cultural relations between Lower Saxony and Russia through the centuries.  Download programme

The Germany Year in Russia 2020/21 project aims to look into the future and to present Germany as a modern, future-oriented country and a reliable European partner for Russia and its citizens.  The organizers plan to show the many aspects and various facets of life in Germany, but also in German-Russian relations, and to strengthen joint networks. Emphasis is placed on dialogue and encounters between people, as bilateral relations depend on this exchange.
